Overnight, Niantic announced the delay of the Safari Zone events in August. August 5 (in Prague and Copenhagen) and August 12 (in Stockholm and Amsterdam) were the scheduled dates for the first two events. No new, rescheduled dates have been given. It is also very important to note that the event in Yokohama, Japan, (August 14) and the September 16 Safari Zones (in Germany, France, and Spain) are unaffected.
These two events were likely delayed over the lackluster performance of Pokémon GO Fest Chicago. Giving Niantic and Unibail-Rodamco more planning time is never a bad thing. Hopefully the service will be better with the extra planning time.
As compensation for the delay, "some Pokémon that are rarely seen in Europe will be appearing soon in certain European cities for a brief time." This could mean regionals, like Kangaskhan, and Unown like we saw in Chicago. However, this could also mean an increase in rare spawns (Ampharos, Donphan, Lapras, Snorlax, etc).
