Super Incubators were introduced for a limited time with the Equinox Event. They were only available through the event's special gift boxes and not able to be bought loosely in the Shop. But will such a popular item ever be introduced again?
Super Incubators are definitely a premium item, meaning they will be prime suspects for gift boxes in the future. But we've never had an item before that was event-exclusive. And the reason for its exclusivity is probably for two primary reasons: overpowered-ness and Shop symmetry.
OVERPOWERED-NESS: It is arguable that the Super Incubator is too good, and having too many will cut down on the "Get out and go!" message of the game. Although many people, including us, bought an exorbitant amount of these items before the event ended, we plan to use our's on event Eggs and 10KM Eggs only.
SYMMETRY IN THE SHOP: Niantic likes rows of three in the Shop, and introducing just one new item would ruin it. As we saw with the introduction of Premium Raid Passes, some Max Revives and Max Potions were also introduced to keep it symmetrical.
So will we ever see Super Incubators able to be bought regularly? That's up to Niantic. We could certainly see them available some day, although for a very high price. This, along with two other item bundles (possibly even new items), could definitely be introduced with Generation 3 or some other major update.
