We saw Evolution Items first released with Generation 2. Some Pokémon in Generation 3 also evolve with Items, but we'll need them to be added to Pokémon GO. They aren't in the code yet, but here are the new Evolution Items you should be looking out for when you spin your 7-Day Streak.
DEEP SEA TOOTH: The Deep Sea Tooth is used to evolve Clamperl into Huntail. This is the only use the Deep Sea Tooth currently has throughout all released generations, so there is really no reason why we wouldn't see it added to the game.
DEEP SEA SCALE: The Deep Sea Scale is also used to evolve a Clamperl. This time, however, Clamperl will evolve into its other possible evolved form, Gorebyss. Since this Item will only be used for Gorebyss throughout all current generations, we see no reason why Niantic won't add it into Pokémon GO.
PRISM SCALE: The Prism Scale is used to evolve Feebas into Milotic. Since these two Pokémon are the remake of the Gyarados line, Niantic could simply make Feebas take 400 Candy to evolve. That said, we hope it takes the Prism Scale on top of the 400 Candy because of Feebas' EXTREME rarity in the main-series games. In Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, there were only six squares were you could encounter a Feebas. Hopefully Niantic will honor Feebas and Miltoic's rarity when adding them to Pokémon GO.
MOON STONE: The Moon Stone is the first of the Items that may not be added. The Moon Stone is used to evolve Skitty into Delcatty. That said, Nidorino, Nidorina, Clefary, and Jigglypuff all also take a Moon Stone to evolve in the main-series games, so it would be interesting to see how Niantic might implement this Item (if they do at all).
WATER STONE: The Water Stone, another Item that may not be added, is used to evolve Lombre into Ludicolo. It takes a Water Stone to get a Poliwrath, Vaporeon, Starmie, and Cloyster in the main-series games. Again, Niantic might easily pass this Item up.
LEAF STONE: The Leaf Stone, although it ay not be added, is used to evolve Nuzleaf into Shiftry. As with the Moon and Water Stones, it is used to evolve pre-existing Pokémon in the main-series. Victreebel, Vileplume, and Exeggutor all need this Item.
Although we may not see all of these Items, it will be nice to have some new options for our 7-Day Streak award. The two PokéStops that our correspondents normally get our streaks at have only been giving out Up-Grades and Sun Stones for the past few months. Let the speculation and excitement about Generation 3 roll on, Trainers!
