Overview

After beating your Alakazam, look for the following CP values. These values are those of an Alakazam with perfect IV's.
  • REGULAR: 1649
  • WEATHER: 2062

Alakazam has 271 attack, 194 defense, 110 stamina. As a Raid Boss, it has a CP of 22646.

Alakazam is a Psychic-type. It has access to the following moves:
  • FAST MOVES: Confusion, Psycho Cut
  • CHARGED MOVES: Shadow Ball, Future Sight, Focus Blast

Counters

Mewtwo

If your Mewtwo can have Shadow Ball, so can the Alakazam you're facing, so be careful. However, Mewtwo's massive attack power combined with a super-effective move make it Alakazam's best counter.

  • FAST MOVE: Psycho Cut
  • CHARGED MOVE: Shadow Ball

Gyarados

Gyarados is the second-best counter to Alakazam. While its Dark-type attacks won't benefit from S.T.A.B., it will resist Focus Blast.

​Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Bite
  • CHARGED MOVE: Crunch, Outrage

Scizor

Scizor is the best Bug-type counter. It is able to attack and charge up its Charged Move incredibly quickly. None of Alakazam's moves will be super-effective against Scizor.

  • FAST MOVE: Fury Cutter
  • CHARGED MOVE: X-Scissor, Night Slash

Tyranitar

Tyranitar is a great choice in most situations, as it will resist Alakazam's Ghost- and Psychic-type moves. But, in the other situation, it will get obliterated with Focus Blast (a move that will deal quadruple the normal damage).

  • FAST MOVE: Bite
  • CHARGED MOVE: Crunch, Stone Edge

Rayquaza

As with most Raid Bosses, Rayquaza is a great, high-damage counter. As a Flying-type, Rayquaza will also resist an Alakazam's Focus Blast.

​Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Dragon Tail
  • CHARGED MOVE: Outrage

Other  viable  counters

For alternative Ghost-type options, Mew, Typhlosion, Banette, and Gardevoir are your best options. Mew can also be used as a Dark-type and Bug-type counter.

Absol, Umbreon, Feraligatr, Granbull, and Houndoom are the best Dark-type counters. For the Pokémon that have the Dark-type themselves, be wary of Focus Blast.

If you just want to deal the most damage, Dragonite, Salamence, Latias, and Latios are the best options.

For altenrate Bug-type counters, Sceptile, Heracross, Pinsir, and Rhydon are your best choices. Be cations of Psychic-type attacks with Heracross, and Fighting-type attacks with Rhydon.
