Counters

Mewtwo

Mewtwo is the best counter to Misdreavus. While it is weak to Misdreavus' attacks as a Psychic-type, it's high damage output combined with the super-effective Shadow Ball make Mewtwo one of your best choices.

Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Psycho Cut
  • CHARGED MOVE: Shadow Ball

Tyranitar

Tyranitar is the second-best counter to Misdreavus. Its attacking speed, S.T.A.B.-boosted Dark-type attacks, and pseudo-Legendary stats make Tyranitar a beast on the battlefield.

Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Bite
  • CHARGED MOVE: Crunch

Gyarados

Gyarados is the third-best counter to Misdreeavus. While its Dark-type attacks won't benefit from S.T.A.B., its speed and natural power make up for it.

Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Bite
  • CHARGED MOVE: Crunch

Rayquaza

Rayquaza's sky-high attack stat makes it one of the best high-damage counters, as with many other Raid Bosses.

Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Dragon Tail
  • CHARGED MOVE: Outrage

Mew

The Mythical Mew is also one of Misdreavus' top counters. As a Psychic-type, Mew will take super-effective damage from all of Misdreavus' possible attacks, so be wary.

Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Snarl, Shadow Claw
  • CHARGED MOVE: Dark Pulse

Other  viable  counters

Houndoom, Umbreon, and Absol are also viable Dark-types. Pokémon with Dark-type Fast Attacks, such as Suicune, Arcanine, and Granbull, can also be utilized.

Misdreavus is not known for being defensive. Legendary and high-DPS, such as Moltres, Latios, and Dragonite, counters can also be used to power your way through the Raid Battle.

Ghost-types, such as Banette and Gengar, can also be used. But, with their lacking defenses and weakness to Ghost- and Dark-type attacks, they're not the best choice.
