Overview

After beating your Starmie, look for the following CP values. These values are those of a Starmie with perfect IV's.
  • REGULAR: 1316
  • WEATHER: 1645

Starmie has 210 attack, 184 defense, 120 stamina. As a Raid Boss, it has a CP of 17384.

Starmie is a Water-type and a Psychic-type. It has access to the following moves:
  • FAST MOVES: Water Gun, Hidden Power
  • CHARGED MOVES: Psychic, Hydro Pump, Power Gem

Counters

raikou

Raikou is the best counter to Starmie. It attacks with powerful, super-effective attacks and will be able to take Starmie's hits.

​Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Thunder Shock
  • CHARGED MOVE: Wild Charge, Thunderbolt

zapdos

Zapdos is also a great counter to Starmie. It's Electric-type attacks will deal much damage. Be wary of a Power Gem, as that could one-hit-KO your Zapdos.

​Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Charge Beam
  • CHARGED MOVE: Zap Cannon, Thunderbolt

scizor

Scizor is a great counter to Starmie. It attacks very quickly with its Bug-type attacks, and charges its Charge Bar just as fast. Be careful for Fire-type Hidden Power, as it will chip away at Scizor.

​Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Fury Cutter
  • CHARGED MOVE: X-Scissor

kyogre

Kyogre is also one of your best options. It will be able take a few of Starmie's Charged Attacks. Speaking of Charged Attacks, a Kyogre with Thunder hits hard against Starmie.

​Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Waterfall
  • CHARGED MOVE: Thunder

sceptile

For more non-Legendary counters, Scpetile is a great option. Like Scizor, Scpetile hits hard and fast. It is a bit of a glass cannon, so try to dodge if you can.

​Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Fury Cutter, Bullet Seed
  • CHARGED MOVE: Leaf Blade

Mewtwo

If you've managed to capture a Mewtwo, it will prove useful against Starmie. With its Ghost-type Charged Attack will deal a great deal of super-effective damage.

​Here are the moves you'll want:
  • FAST MOVE: Psycho Cut
  • CHARGED MOVE: Shadow Ball

other  viable  counters

For other Grass-types, Venusaur, Meganium, and Exeggutor are the best choices.

For other Bug-types, Heracross and Pinsir are best. For the Ghost-type, Banette and Gengar are best. With Gengar and Heracross, be wary of Psychic-type attacks.

For other Dark-types, Umbreon and Absol are best. Absol can also be used with Bug-type and Electric-type attacks.

For raw damage, Salamence, Rayquaza, and Dragonite are best. If you use them, be wary of Power Gem.

​Finally, Lanturn, Ampharos, and Jolteon are the best of your other Electric-type options.
