1. new updates for pokemon go: major bug updates & new gen 3 code!
v0.75.1: A small update rolled out this earlier week. Nothing at all came of this update except for a tiny graphics edit. This update was so insignificant that Niantic (as with many of their updates as of late) didn't even acknowledge it with a blog post or Tweet. Interestingly enough, the update became forced later on in the week. We still don't know why Niantic even released this, especially considering they released another update on Saturday.
v0.77.1: This update was the one long waited for. Many annoying bugs have been fixed, and some new Gen 3 code has been added.
Costumed Pokémon can no longer be mass-transferred, and an additional warning will come up when attempting to transfer them. The annoying bug that caused Trainer avatars not to be displayed in a Raid lobby has been fixed. When healing Pokémon in a lobby, they will no longer be reset to the suggested Pokémon. A bug causing network errors when battling has been fixed. Finally, the curveball bug has been fixed after months of being a problem.
Generation 3 is now closer to launch with this update. Deoxys and Castform now have their multiple forms added. Castform changes its form based on the weather (Sunny, Rainy, Snowy, or Regular). Deoxys changes its form based on whether it wants to Attack, Defend, or use Speed.
Please remember that Generation 3 is not ready to launch yet. We still need the Pokémon's cries, movesets (including any possible new moves), and any new Items that may be added. That said, we are realistically only one or two updates away from being ready from getting Generation 3 in Pokémon GO! SOURCE: The Silph Road, GO Hub
2. a possible leak of ho-oh's release date gaining popularity
A leak of Ho-Oh's release date on Reddit is gaining popularity. We cannot confirm the authenticity of this "leak," but it is worth mentioning. The leak is from a Japanese friend of "AbsoluteCutChips." Allegedly, the friend emailed Niantic Support with a question about EX Raids and got a response. The response says that the testing phase of EX Raids has ended, the Halloween event is upcoming, and that Ho-Oh will be released in EX Raids after the Beast rotations end.
First off, this does not mean that Mewtwo Raids are over. The email only claims that Niantic is done testing these Raids. And since many people did not get Mewtwo or an EX Pass yet, Niantic would be foolish not to hold any more EX Raids before December.
Secondly, Ho-Oh releasing in December makes sense. Although it is a Fire-type, it does have a Christmas-like color-theme. And you could argue that Ho-Oh is similar to a partridge. This leak does make sense, and we wouldn't be surprised at all if it turns out to be true. SOURCE: Brought to our attention by GO Hub
3. the pokemon go safari zone
COPENHAGEN & PRAGUE: The second wave of Safari Zone events in Copenhagen and Prague took place yesterday. In addition to the crazy spawn rates of Mareep, Chansey, Larvitar, etc, we saw some special Raid Bosses. The Legendary Birds were back for a day in the Unibail Rodamco centers.
AMSTELVEEN & STOCKHOLM: The tickets for Amstelveen and Stockholm went on sale this week. They sold out in a record time for Pokémon GO: less than one minute! The final installments of Safari Zone events will take place on October 14, 2017. SOURCE: Reversal
4. epic, new trailers for Pokemon ultra sun & ultra moon
Two new trailers were released for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. They revealed a lot of new information shrouded in mystery and speculation.
TRAVEL TO ULTRA SPACE: People were very excited when we were able to travel into space in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, and when we were able to travel to Giratina's Reverse World in Pokémon Platinum. Well, Pokémon just outdid themselves. You'll be able to ride Lunala and Solgaleo through a vortex, selecting exits along the way, to enter one of the Ultra Beast's homeworlds. In addition to the rocky-coral world of Nihilego from Sun and Moon, there is a prehistoric world for Buzzwole, an arid climate riddled with craters for Celesteela, a grassy forest for Kartana (as seen in the second trailer), and more!
ULTRA MEGALOPOLIS: The Ultra Megalopolis is a city in another dimension that we will be able to travel to! The giant metropolis has had all of its light stolen by Necrozma. It is inhabited by a race of humans (or humanoid-like creatures). They have built a giant light source in the middle of the city, which we later see Dusk Mane Necrozma on top of in a glowing orb. This extraterrestrial city is certainly going to reveal some large secrets and be the location for many climactic events.
THE ULTRA RECON SQUAD: Two people from the Ultra Megalopolis have come into our world. Dulse and Zossie will come in Ultra Sun, and Phyco and Soliera will come in Ultra Moon. These people are the evil-looking team from the recent poster. That said, the Internet is very divided over whether these people are actually evil.
Some say the team will be the antagonists (in addition to Necrozma, and possibly Team Skull and the Aether Foundation) because of the opening cutscene shown. In Sun and Moon, the opening cutscene features an Aether Foundation Employee blocking Lillie from taking Cosmog outside of Aether Paradise. The same cutscene is shown, but with Dulse and Zossie instead.
Others say that the Ultra Recon Squad are our allies. We see them let us pass in Ultra Megalopolis and we wear their suit when riding Solgaleo and Lunala through the Ultra Wormhole. We think that this new team will be a mixture. They'll help or hurt us whenever it benefits them the best.
UB ADHESIVE: The Ultra Recon Squad has brought another brand-new Ultra Beast with them! The new creature is codenamed UB Adhesive. UB Adhesive has instantly become a fan-favorite among the Ultra Beasts with its Elgyem-like and Mythical-Pokémon-like design. UB Adhesive is a pure Poison-type Pokémon. Known as the Poison Pin Pokémon, it is 2' 00", weighs four pounds, and has the Beast Boost Ability.
UB BURST: UB Burst has had its information revealed! It is a Fire-type and a Ghost-type, which no one saw coming. Known as the Fireworks Pokémon, it is 5' 11" and weighs 28.7 pounds. Like all the other Ultra Beasts, it has the Beast Boost Ability. To this point, it is the only Ultra Beast with a signature move. Burst will detach and explode its head in a powerful Fire-type move called Mind Blown. It's able to defeat a Level 71 Metagross in one hit, but it also deletes half of Burst's own HP.
UB ASSEMBLY: UB Assembly has also had its information revealed! It is a Rock-type and a Steel-type, which ruins a lot of the hope of the hyper-tanky staller that many players wanted. Known as the Rampart Pokémon, it is 18' 01" and weighs 1807.8 pounds. As with every Ultra Beast, UB Assembly has the Beast Boost Ability. From the trailers, we know this Pokémon has the moves Iron Defense, Iron Head, and Wide Guard.
5. New figures and boosters added to Pokemon duel
Pokémon Duel received a bug-fixing update on Monday. A variety of new figures, boosters, plates (focused on Steel-types and Poison-types), and balances have also been added.
NEW FIGURES: Solgaleo and Tapu Lele are the new EX figures. Cosmog, Cosmoem, and Espeon are the new Rare figures. Oricorio (Pa'u Style) and Igglybuff are the new Uncommon figures.
FIGURE BALANCES: Some figures had their attack wheels changed with this update. Beedrill, Gardevoir, Bronzong, Metagross, Mega Beedrill, and Mewtwo now have different attacks, different powers, and / or different attacks sizes. Definitely review your figure case for these edited figures to consider new options for your deck.
NEW BOOSTERS: A new Time Booster has been added. This new booster is orange and contains Psychic-type and Bug-type Pokémon. A new, special ten-pack has been added in the Shop, and it will guarantee you at least EX or UX figure.
NEW GYM CUP: A new Poison Gym Cup is ongoing. An Alolan Raichu figurine is one of the awards. Get out and battle, because it will end soon! SOURCE: Serebii.net
